How We Use Computers and Technology
At Northwood we are fortunate to have excellent computing, and I.T provision. The children are immersed in the use of iPads and technology for most lessons. Teachers are able to use technology effectively to enhance the curriculum offering.
We follow the Knowsley Curriculum for computing which has been carefully designed to prepare children to become digital citizens of the future.
Alongside this, children also gain excellent insight into online safety and an awareness of their digital footprint through the use of computing lessons and PSHE.
Here is a snapshot of the curriculum we follow including examples of children’s work.

We will shortly be appointing new digital leaders from Key Stage 2 to support the delivery of computing and technology across the curriculum. The children have submitted a formal application and will be undergoing a formal interview process and task to be selected for the role.
The digital leaders will work with staff and pupils during lunch time to support the use of iPads and troubleshoot any issues.
Please check back soon to see those selected.
