PAY BAND D / SCP 14 – 17. £17,681- £18,672 + SEN allowance of £1,263 per annum pro rata

[Actual salary £10,862 - £11,470 + £775 SEN allowance per annum]

25 hours per week / 46 weeks per year

To commence as soon as possible until the July 2019


We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and skilful Teaching Assistant to support a particular Y6 child in our Designated Special Provision with additional needs.

Northwood Community Primary School is a great place to work the role will include working with a child to support them in the following ways:

  • To develop the child’s language and communication skills
  • To develop the child’s early learning skills
  • To develop the child’s fine and gross motor skills to continue to improve their self-care skills, enabling them to function independently
  • To assist the child when eating lunch in our hall during lunchtime.

You must:

  • Be caring, patient and prepared for physical activities
  • Hold and NQT Level 2 or above for Teaching Assistants
  • Be committed to high expectations of pupils in terms of learning and behaviour
  • Be able to use ICT to support learning
