Uniform Expectations
Dear Parents/Carers,
At Northwood Community Primary School, we believe that a consistent and smart uniform plays a vital role in promoting a sense of belonging, pride, and equality among our pupils. Our uniform policy sets clear expectations to ensure that all pupils present themselves in a manner that reflects our school values of Respect, Teamwork, Kindness, Honesty, and Happiness.
We are very mindful of the financial pressures families may face. Therefore, our uniform policy has been carefully designed to keep costs as low as possible, with many items being plain and not requiring the school badge emblem.
Uniform expectations are designed to support a focused learning environment, reduce distractions, and foster a positive school identity within our community. We require all pupils to adhere to these expectations daily, with the understanding that appropriate attire contributes to their emotional, social, and academic readiness to thrive.
Please be advised that from the first day following the October half term holiday, Northwood Community Primary School will begin to strictly enforce the uniform policy as outlined on the attached sheets. We kindly ask all parents and carers to ensure that pupils come to school in the correct uniform each day. If pupils arrive without the correct uniform or PE kit after this date, we will follow our established procedures, including contacting parents to provide the appropriate clothing or supplying items from our stock as necessary. Your support in this matter is greatly appreciated as we uphold the high standards of our school community.
This revised policy outlines the specific requirements for pupil uniform, including acceptable clothing, footwear, and any necessary accessories, ensuring clarity for pupils, parents, and staff. We appreciate your support in maintaining these standards to uphold the high standards of our school community.
Kind regards,
Ms S Murphy
Uniform Policy for Mainstream Pupils
At Northwood Community Primary School we believe it is important to maintain high standards of personal appearance and that our pupils always look smart. We also believe we should support our parents by ensuring the costs of uniform are as low as possible. This is why many items are plain and do not require the school badge emblem. If you have any queries regarding the school uniform please contact the school.
If pupils do not arrive at school with the correct uniform or PE kit, we will contact parents/guardians to come to school with the correct uniform/PE kit. If the correct uniform/kit is not provided, school will provide clothing from our own stock which will be taken back at the end of the school day.
