Northwood Community Primary School manages the only Language Hub provision in operation across the borough of Knowsley. 

Our LHUB operates Monday - Thursday and children return to their home school on Fridays in order to maintain links with peers and staff in their home school setting.

The LHUB is a turnaround provision for children in EYFS and KS1. We do not take children from KS2 or beyond. Our aim is intensive Communication and Language support to enable barriers to be removed so that children can make a successful transition back to their home school and learn well.

Although we are a Language Unit, in line with our Inclusion ethos, the children and staff are fully immersed into the life of Northwood Community Primary School. 

The LHUB is managed by Mrs Carrie Hyland, Deputy Headteacher/SENCO.
